Chewing 101

If you want to join Me…Comment from your journal

Never made a journal?  Here’s a way to get started…decorate an inexpensive composition book like this:

OUTSIDE FRONT COVER  reflects the theme for the year.  (Use old magazines, computer pictures, cut out printed words, drawings, etc.)

INSIDE FRONT COVER decorate according to what you think your heartheart-jewelry1 looks like….I don’t mean an anatomically correct picture from WebMd (that would be too easy :-) but what you think your HEART, the place where life comes from deep inside, looks like today.

OUTSIDE BACK COVER find biblical references to the “heart” and put the verses on the back of your journal.  Here are two to start – “Keep your heart with all vigilance [sounds like a battle, huh?], for from it flow the springs of life.” (Prov. 4:23) & “Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)

divide your journal into three sections:

  • Journal Exercises

  • Meditation

  • Workshop notes

You will find the above in the main body of the blog.  Having trouble?  Search by key words, tags or categories.

put a big target on your heart

and ask the LORD to aim His love toward you!  By the way, I am confident of encounter in this secret place.  He promises to draw near to us when we draw near to Him. (James 4:8) and His sheep hear His voice (John 10:27).  He uses weak things by the world’s standards to glorify His name - I’m so thankful because that means I’m not disqualified and neither are you!

It usually takes me a year to complete a journal.  That’s okay with me because my heart is on a life long journey…. (Psalm 84:4-5)

GOAL: “And this is Eternal Life, that they know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3)  He is the Faithful Witness and He is good!
